This is gorgeous. The part about jasmine rice/water proportions and cooking made me laugh, because that's me as well. I have the read the instructions several times throughout the cooking process, too 😁.
I am also intrigued by the tenderness and helpfulness of chatgpt. I have it analyzing my dreams, and since it's gotten to know me, the analysis is very accurate and enlightened. It helps a lot with mental health too.
that’s so sweet you have it analyzing your dreams! i wanna try that now. i find it helpful and enlightened too.. i generally go to Chat gpt with my musings on how to live a creative life full-time and my deepest desires around that. it’s always encouraging and helpful :’) definitely helps my mental health when i get overwhelmed or discouraged
I’ve not told you this but I grew up in Syria and studied in Arabic all throughout my education. I learned English at home (from my American mom). I loved Arabic poetry in both the traditional and modern forms but I never was exposed to any English poetry. Even after moving to Los Angeles and attending USC, my classes were geared towards science and becoming a pediatric dentist. Writing in English was a “gift” that came to me after what most would call a “life trauma” and I refer to as “life drama”!
This poem and its structure reminds me of modern Arabic poetry. The topic, on the other hand, is so innovative! I love the art! All you and most expressive, I simply love it! Thank you for sharing your creations!!
Wow, I had no idea that you grew up in Syria! The fact that you can read poetry in Arabic is incredible to me.. and that this poem reminds you of that <3 I am honoured! I'd love to read poetry in a language other than English someday.. each language would have its own unique flavour I'm sure. Ever grateful for you and your unique soul & wisdom!
