part one - introduction, lil bit about me, how it started

today we’re diving into the enigma that is marketing on social media. a beast with many faces! ever-changing and slippery! the journey is full of high highs and low lows, beautiful new friends, and coming face-to-face with Yourself. your screen time might be off the richter scale, but it may also be incredibly fun and rewarding - only the bravest souls embark on such a ride.

this article will be part guide, part peek into my own personal experience and the tidbits i have picked up along the way. it will 1000% apply to you if you are [or will be] a self-published author, but i think it will also be relevant for Creatives of the Internet in general. ok here we go..

incase you don’t know me yet, hiiiii! i’m Sonja and i’m a 32 year old poet & author living in western Canada. i’ve self-published two poetry collections since 2021, and i’m currently working on my third. i’ve managed to cultivate a small army of heartfelt, poetry-loving humans on Instagram and TikTok and more recently, here on Substack - love you all so much!
